In Walking Habitually with God, Schalk takes the reader on his spiritual and literal journey, unpacking some of the deep truths and revelations of the Holy Spirit in his life. You will be amazed at the great level of commitment he has in Walking Habitually with God, at all costs. This book will:1. Encourage you,2. Excite you,3. Give you hope,4. Help unfold Gods purpose for you,5. Teach you ways to have a more intimate relationship with God.An inspiring story of someone who is walking habitually with his God in an extraordinary way!Introduction: I wrote this book after sharing with a number of people, about how God had spoken to me through various ways and incidences in my life. They were astonished and so was I by their astonishment. My first response to them was that anyone could experience this:i) A personal relationship with God the Father,ii) To hear His voice. This book combines these stories and my literal journeying through life with some teaching. You too, through the Holy Spirit can have an intimate relationship with God, and be able to hear His voice when He speaks. As you read you may encounter ideas and thoughts that you may not agree with. I wholeheartedly accept that, and that it may require time for you to digest it. I learnt a valuable lesson when eating fish, “Eat the meat and throw away the bones.”Take on board what you can and try not to dismiss this book in its entirety, as the content has already touched and blessed many. I will share with you things that I have done which I attribute to the leading of the Holy Spirit that may seem bizarre. I can assure you that by being obedient in doing them, I was set free and liberated, but it no way implying that you need to do what I was led to do. God deals with us in various ways, and for me that was so.For the readers who may think I need my head to be checked, just consider how bizarre it was for the Israelites to be seen walking in silence for seven days around the walls of Jericho? They could have been called many names by the inhabitants of Jericho as they watched that ‘bizarre’ sight. Eventually their obedience resulted in the fortified walls of Jericho crashing down. How bizarre it must have been for Rahab’s neighbours to see her putting out a scarlet thread? That act of obedience literally saved her life. What about Abraham when hearing from God left his place of birth with everything he had, to be obedient to follow God? If someone stopped to ask him where he was going, his honest answer would have been, “I don’t have a clue.” Now you tell me how bizarre was that? The primary purpose of Jesus’ first coming was to reconcile man to God, into an intimate relationship as He initially had with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. This is also the purpose of this book. That every reader will, through the glorified Spirit of Jesus Christ, be brought into a reconciled, personal relationship with God, walking habitually in His presence and discovering the reason for their existence. I am convinced that their discovery will lead them into God’s perfect plan for their lives. As you read I commit to give you a true reflection of my personal experience in Walking Habitually with God. I have written prayers that I prayed to God as I felt led in my heart to do, at that particular point in my life. This book does not contain formulas or fool proof recipes for success, but it is an honest and faithful account of how He has worked in my life.
